R.I.B.S™ MVTR is a combination of two inventions that provide permanent Electrostatic protection (ESD and EMI Shielding), full MVTR protection and a self-contained de-ionizer for
neutralizing corrosive gases.
R.I.B.S™ MVTR is a heavily metallized laminated co-extruded film which contains a single layer of two distinctly different properties:

One layer is made up of conductive carbon permanently bonded in a polymer chain.
• Another layer is a static dissipative, non-sloughing polymer bonded with specially treated copper ions called Corrosion Intercept ® that acts as a membrane over the carbon layer.
R.I.B.S™ MVTR offers the lowest in Moisture Vapor Transmission Rate (MVTR) and provides 4 protective functions as follows:

Organic ions absorption by the carbon layer
4) A metallized polyester which provides EMI / ESD Shielding and Moisture Barrier protection.
