R.I.B.S™ Shielding is a combination of two inventions that provide permanent Electrostatic protection (ESD Shielding), full metal-out shielding protection and a self-contained de-ionizer for
neutralizing corrosive gases.
R.I.B.S™ Shielding is a heavily metallized laminated co-extruded film which contains a single layer of two distinctly different properties:

One layer is made up of conductive carbon permanently bonded in a polymer chain.
• Another layer is a static dissipative, non-sloughing polymer bonded with specially treated copper ions called Corrosion Intercept ® that acts as a membrane over the carbon layer.
R.I.B.S™ Shielding provides 4 protective functions as follows:
